New fundraiser for Wilmslow Wells

The local charity which raises money to directly finance clean water supplies for African villages is holding a new fundraising event.

Wilmslow Wells for Africa is inviting people to St John's Church Rooms on Knutsford Road for a light hearted afternoon 'Sing Song' on Sunday 3rd February.

They will be singing old favourites such as Danny Boy, some Beatles songs and a few hymns like Morning has broken.

Helen Battilana, Chairman of Wilmslow Wells, said "We will be accompanied by a small band of musicians, led by pianist Roger Pearce. The words for the songs will be projected on to a screen to make everything easy. Hot drinks and home-made cake will be served at the interval. Enthusiasm rather than talent required!"

The 'Sing Song' will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday 3rd February. For further information call Irene Wright on 01625 583423. Tickets cost £5 or pay at the door.
