Chancellor supports local charity shop

George Osborne paid a visit to a Wilmslow charity shop to meet with volunteers and encourage local people to help support the shop.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer visited the British Heart Foundation shop on Grove Street on Friday, 14th December where he met Mike Taylor who is the Head of Retail for the British Heart Foundation as well as the local shop manager and volunteers.

Speaking about his visit, George Osborne said "The work of the British Heart Foundation is remarkable and I'm delighted to show my support by visiting my local BHF shop.

"I'd like to encourage local people who can spare a few hours a week to volunteer, to pop into the Shop for more information and help make a real difference over the festive period!"
