This month Pownall Hall School will open its doors to invite the community to three cookery demonstrations, provided by some of Wilmslow's most popular restaurants.

The theme of these events is to show how easy it is to provide good family meals using seasonal produce.

Felicini restaurant will demonstrate how to cook the Italian way on the March 12th and the following week, on March 19th, Eastern Revive will show guests how to cook up an Indian family feast.

Finally on March 26th March the 'Stolen Lamb' owner and head chef, George will share with the audience some of his traditional Greek family recipes.

Those attending will be shown how the professionals do it and have the opportunity to taste the dishes.

These community events have been organised by Pownall Hall School, in association with the Food for Life Partnership. The school has been awarded the Food for Life Partnership Silver Award for its healthy and climate-friendly food culture, providing the children with healthy food as well as reinforcing food quality and education. Only 10 schools in the whole of the northwest of England have achieved this award so far.

Catering Manager, Mrs Jane Ingham said "By organising the Cooking demonstrations at school we are aiming to improve community links. Our goal is to actively involve parents and community groups in cooking activities."

Tickets are £5 and all the money raised will be used to enhance and support the children's cooking and growing activities at the school.

The workshops will take place on March 12th, 19th and 26th between 7.30pm and 9.00pm. Refreshments and sample tastings are included

Tickets priced £5, including refreshments and sample tastings, are available from the restaurants or Pownall Hall School.
