Finn Youth Productions, the youth theatre group set up by Wilmslow resident Angus Macalister and Luke Gilfedder, from Warrington, has announced their third show.

Following on from their recent successes, 'Augustus Does His Bit' by George Bernard Shaw, a heart-warming comedy about a pompous Army General in the Second World War, will be staged at the Pownall Hall Theatre on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th February.

The group are also breaking fresh ground by performing two one-act specials alongside the main comedy. With the mix of 'Buddies', a short but entertaining conversation between the American and Russian Presidents during the Cold War, and 'The Outcast', a mysterious tale of two criminals on the run, Finn Youth Productions believe they can present their most enjoyable evening yet.

Angus Macalister said "The cast are a great group, many of them have been involved with us for quite a bit now and that's beginning to show in the performances."

Luke Gilfedder, director, added "We've got some big shows coming up this year – the Stockport Garrick is the only one we can name for moment, but others are already in planning.

"Doing plays at Pownall is excellent for us – it's a great theatre to be based at and one we look forward to continuing and building our reputation in."

Tickets, £8.50 per adult and £5 per child, are available from 07597 439 331 or 01625 527398. The show starts at 8pm on February 17th and 18th.
