Musical talent sings festive tunes for charity

11-12-10 Cheshire A Capella at Handforth Dean

Wilmslow-based Cheshire A Capella, the women’s modern and exciting harmony chorus, sang at Handforth Dean on Saturday, 10th December, to help raise funds for the charity Friends for Leisure.

The Werneth Concert Band played carols and Christmas songs to accompany the Railway Pub Singers, young people registered with the charity, friends and volunteers for a very festive afternoon.

Gillian Jones, Manager of Friends for Leisure, said “We were delighted that the Christmas shoppers were so generous and would like to thank them very much, along with everyone who helped make the afternoon so successful. We were pleased that everyone seemed to leave with a smile on their face.”

Friends for Leisure gives disabled children and young people the opportunity to take part in everyday friendship and leisure activities that other young people take for granted. For more information see www.friendsforleisure.org.uk.
