Blue Bell's fundraising fun for children’s hospice

Blue Bell MINI kicked off their fundraising campaign for Francis House Children's Hospice at a recent MINI celebration weekend, to launch the dealership's London 2012 Olympic countdown and to raise money for the local charity which had been selected by customers and local residents.

The programme has been running for three months, with all visitors to the showroom receiving a charity token to show their support for a local cause of their choice.

Francis House received an overwhelming majority of the votes and Fundraising Officer, Kate Puc, visited the showroom recently to accept a cheque for £500 for the local hospice.

Kate Puc said "We are extremely grateful for this kind donation from the staff and customers at Blue Bell MINI. The hospice provides vital support for local families and their children, but we rely on the generous fundraising efforts of local establishments like the Blue Bell Group to enable us to continue with our work."

Matthew Mazurek, MINI Manager at Blue Bell Wilmslow, added "We are delighted to be able to present Kate and the team at Francis House Children's Hospice with this donation. The admirable work done at the hospice to provide care and support for children and their families is fantastic, and we hope to be able to continue our support of the charity with ongoing fundraising events in the future."

Based in Didsbury, Francis House provides essential support for families and their children, who have been diagnosed as having life threatening or life limiting conditions. The hospice provides a home from home, where families can receive professional care, support and friendship, free of charge and regardless of faith or cultural background.
