Chorus warms up for Christmas show

North Wales Choral Festival 2011

With a wide range of contemporary 'upbeat' numbers and a few beautiful ballads now under their belts, the ladies of Cheshire A Cappella are preparing for their Christmas show and continuing to expand their repertoire.

Recent additions include "California Dreamin'" and an interpretation of Michael Jackson's "Thriller". With Christmas on the horizon the chorus is also polishing a few seasonal favourites ready for their festive performance at Morley Green Social Club on Wednesday December 7th.

Cheshire A Cappella currently has just over 40 members but wants to increase in size, they are particularly looking for ladies who can sing either high or low. There will be a recruitment drive in January but in the meantime if you would like to see what they are all about, you are welcome to pop along any Wednesday when they rehearse at Morley Green Social Club from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

The harmony chorus will also be entertaining festive shoppers at Handforth Dean at lunchtime on Saturday 10th December.

Hilary Pinnock said "If you're a fun-loving lady seeking a new challenge in 2012, or if there's a performer in you just dying to get out, it's probably time for you to start singing."

To purchase tickets for the Christmas Show, priced £6 each, email [email protected] or 07896 157411.

Hilary added "The show is part of the chorus's ongoing fundraising effort towards their next major competition next May, when it aims to continue its steady progress towards becoming one of the top ten a cappella choruses in the UK."
