A face lift for Lindow School

Over the summer holidays and the first few weeks of this term, Lindow School has seen an open air courtyard transformed into a new multi-purpose room for teaching Music, Art, ICT, etc.

Chair of Governors, Claire MacLeod, seen below ‘opening’ the new facility, said
“We are delighted that Cheshire East Council has fully supported our plans for improving the school and has committed to investing a significant sum of money to realise our ambitions.

"This new facility will benefit all children from age 4 – 11 and is another step on the road to upgrading all the school’s facilities. By next April, we will have remodelled the entire interior lay-out of the school, to make the all the classrooms function more effectively and, ultimately, to create a new, 7th classroom to facilitate 7 distinct year classes rather than split year groups.”

Claire added: “We have worked very closely with the architect and surveyor in our careful planning of the project, to limit the amount of disruption, as the children’s uninterrupted education is our top priority.  We are all very excited about the opening of this new multi-purpose room. When the work is complete Lindow will have some of the best facilities and teaching spaces available for primary children in Wilmslow.”
