Luxury travel company moves to Wilmslow

Natural Retreats is relocating from Manchester city centre to offices at Whitecroft House on Water Lane.

CEO Matt Spence said "Natural Retreats decided to move to Wilmslow for a number of reasons, namely because being in a city centre high rise office block, didn't really sit with the company ethos of stunning accommodation in areas of outstanding natural beauty.

"Additionally, Wilmslow has a number of road, rail and air links that, for a globally growing business are very important. To be able to travel to meet with key business stakeholders and partners was key to our decision to move, as each of the main transport means are within a short drive or walk from the new office."

The luxury travel company, which currently employs around 40 staff in the UK and 40 in the US, was set up in 2006 by founder and CEO Matt Spence, to offer luxurious, sustainable self-catering holidays in areas of natural beauty.

The company was launched on Matt Spence's family land, in the Yorkshire Dales, and now features additional UK locations in Cornwall, Scotland and North Wales, as well as properties in County Cork, County Kerry, County Limerick and County Roscommon.

This year the company expanded into the US working, with the Rockefeller family to launch Natural Retreats South Fork Lodge in Idaho and Virginia Hot Springs. Natural Retreats hopes to grow to feature 15 sites in the UK, 10 in Ireland and 50 in the US over the next two years.
