Black White Denim celebrated its first successful year in business with a champagne reception on Thursday, 29th September, with a very special guest, designer Jan Ahlgren.
The high fashion store welcomed the Swedish designer, fresh off a plane from Paris, who showcased key pieces from his Autumn/Winter collection. He talked to guests about the inspiration for his designs and his journey from aspirational golfer, to model and finally designer.
Ahlgren gave an insight into his collection, key pieces of which were worn by Black White Denim founder Jo Davies and staff at the Wilmslow boutique.
A fan of Black White Denim, which stocks and sells only black, white and denim, Ahlgren said: "It's an honour to be invited along to Black White Denim, a great hardworking store, with a fantastic concept."
He went on to say, "One of the most important parts of being a designer is seeing women enjoying my clothes, and tonight I've seen women of all ages trying on my designs, and that all important twinkle in their eye when they feel good about themselves."
Customers chatted with Ahlgren himself, shopped, sipped champagne and enjoyed canapés created by Gusto.
