Pepperberry Day Nursery is inviting youngsters and their parents to come and see what they do this weekend ahead of their official opening in October.

The independent nursery at Cygnet Court on Hawthorn Street is holding an open weekend from Friday 23rd September to Sunday 25th September.

Parents and children will be given a tour of the nursery and be able to meet with the staff - giving them the opportunity to get a feel for the new day nursery. There will also be lots of fun in store for all the family, including the chance to meet Peppa Pig and the characters from In The Night Garden.

Pepperberry Day Nurseries was founded by husband and wife team Gillian and Anthony Akaraonye, who have 40 years experience educating young people.

Gillian has a degree in Psychology from Liverpool University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She has been teaching in primary schools for over 20 years and specialises in child development.

Anthony is a former Assistant Director of Social Services for Liverpool City Council.

Inspired by their work with children, Gillian and Anthony then set up their own full time independent school for children ages 3-18 years and a nursery for children aged 0-5 years.

Gillian, 45, said "We believe that education should start as early as possible, and, along with our team, promise to deliver a rich and colourful learning environment in safe and friendly surroundings for every child.

"Seeing every child as a unique individual, we know how to tailor their learning and development to get the best from every child, whatever their needs."

Everyone is welcome to go along to their open weekend from 11am to 4pm each day.
