Deli to feature photography exhibitions

The Lindow Ten Photographic Group has recently joined forces with Eden Deli on Chapel Lane, which is now under new management.

The Group is using the Deli as a gallery to exhibit a selection of their work, which will be up-dated every few weeks. There are also plans to hold 'gallery evenings' each time the photos are changed.

The Group is considering using a theme for their next exhibition in September, but this first one shows a range of styles, subjects and techniques. Two of the exhibitors, Tony Ioannides and Colin Caygill, have recently been successful in applying for the licentiateship level, which is the first level of distinction awarded by the Royal Photographic Society.

Steve Brown, the new owner of Eden Deli is himself an ex-professional photographer and is keen to support this local venture.

He said "I decided to have the gallery at Eden Deli to create a point of local interest where people can meet for a tea or coffee and a chat.

"This project also re-kindles a previous interest of mine in photography and from the very positive interest shown in the few days since the first exhibiition was staged, I can say that it will run for the forseeable future."

Some of the images, all of very limited print runs, will be available for sale.
