Incredible Edible joins forces with Sainsbury's

The food revolution of Wilmslow is bringing local and national together again, as Incredible Edible now joins forces with Sainsburys to offer fresh, seasonal produce, grown on your doorstep and to show how little space is needed to do this.

No packaging, no air miles, and no cost to you, you really should try this at home!

The selection of fragrant herbs were donated by the ever supportive Ned Yates Garden Centre - who not only help with plant and compost donation, but also help to load the car and always take a real interest in the progress of the project.

The lovely colourful planters were kindly donated by Laburnum Farm Nurseries, who have previously donated some for us to use for growing in schools.

This project is changing the way that Wilmslow looks, smells and tastes and bringing people together through a shared interest in food and investing in the identity of our town.

To get involved; volunteers with any or no level of gardening skills, meet at the Romany caravan at 2pm, the first Sunday of every month and then walk on to the plots which need most tending to.  However, you can weed at any time – these are community plots for everyone.  Feel free to water them any time, they’ll need it throughout the Summer months!

Photo:  Paul Barton giving a helping hand with the watering ... he’s a Sainsbury’s employee but you may also recognise him as one of Wilmslow’s newly appointed local Town Councillors.
