Wilmslow student wins national competition

A Year 9 student from Wilmslow High School has won a national art competition to design a surfboard.

Ellie Robinson, 14, designed the surfboard for the clothing company Boden and, in addition to having her winning design transferred on to the board, Ellie has won a surfing holiday for ten in Cornwall.

Ellie is delighted with her win and will continue her passion for art as a GCSE student in September.

She said "I was so shocked to hear that I won because it was such big competition. I'm looking forward to the holiday in August.

"I'm planning to take the whole family as well as a bunch of mine and my brother's friends. We are all really excited about the idea of the surfing lessons."
