Choir opens to all

Earlier this year staff at Wilmslow High School decided to practice what they preach by getting involved in an activity that offers a new, fun, sociable and exciting experience - something they encourage students to do on a daily basis.

As a result, the dedicated teachers and support staff embarked upon setting up the very first Staff Choir. The group have been meeting every Wednesday after school, and have enjoyed sharing their diverse musical interests and varying degrees of musical experience.

A few months down the line and the Staff Choir have decided it's about time to extend the invitation to join them a little further afield.

Christine Boden, Curriculum Team Leader for Arts said "Wilmslow High is proud of the positive relationship it enjoys with all members of the community and so would like you to join the first Wilmslow Community Choir.

"The aim for staff, parents, friends and members of the Wilmslow community is to bring their enthusiasm for singing and music together by developing a truly collaborative project of which all can enjoy."

If you are interested in joining the Community Choir or would like more information please email Miss Boden or call 01625 526 191.

The first meeting takes place on Wednesday 21st September at 3.30pm in the music room at Wilmslow High School.
