Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery is ready to open for business in Wilmslow.

To celebrate their opening and show off their new facilities they are holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday, 25th June, in aid of Francis House Children's Hospice, which will be the nurseries chosen charity for the coming year.

Kate Puc from Francis House will be attending the Fun Day to officially opening the nursery and activities will include face painting, a cake stall, demonstrations by "Stretch N Grow" and Baby Sensory.

A considerable amount of work has been carried out, to enable Liz Butterworth and her team to offer a bright, airy and stimulating environment for the under five's.

The nursery is located on Hawthorn Lane, in the detached property previously occupied by Wilmslow Day Nursery, where each age group will have their own dedicted room, tailored to meet their individual requirements. In addition there is now a sensory room, indoor physical activity room, enclosed outdoor play area and ICT suite.

Liz Butterworth, the owner of the business, is married with two children, Max age 3 and 18 month old Rachel. She lives in Hale and is a qualified psychologist who has spent most of her career as a business consultant, helping clients manage human performance.

Liz said "I decided to set up a childcare business in order to achieve a better work-life balance.

"The Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries Group is a franchise company with nearly 30 settings in the UK. Given my lack of childcare experience, I opted to work with Monkey Puzzle in order to benefit from their expertise and experience in establishing and operating nursery businesses."

Rachael Lyons from Wilmslow will manage the nursery. Rachael has worked in childcare for nearly 20 years and is married with two children, Holly age 5 and Ted age 7 months.

The Family Fun Day is open to all and will be held from 10am until 1pm at 5 Hawthorn Lane, Wilmslow.
