Preparations are in the final stages for the 2011 Cheshire County Show, with over 80,000 visitors set to enjoy the two-day extravaganza at the Tabley showground.

With its roots firmly in our county's agricultural heritage, the Cheshire County Show is all about appreciating the fabulous sights, characters and flavours of Cheshire.

The most important attractions at the show on Tuesday June 21st and Wednesday 22nd will be the thousands of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and rare breed livestock competing for coveted titles.

The Sainsbury's Agri-Centre will be keeping the show's agricultural heritage alive with new demonstrations and educational displays from the region's agricultural experts and a trip to the ever popular Roberts Bakery Food Hall and Food Live Theatre will also be a must to sample the hundreds of tasty treats on offer.

Other attractions include; a large equestrian section, the Cheshire Federations of Women's Institutes marquee, which is home to the craft classes, falconry displays, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Young children will be entertained by a traditional fun fair whilst visitors of all ages will enjoy the Bolddog motorcycle stunt display and the dog show which attracts over 2000 entries.

The schools musical entertainment programme, which takes place over the two days, is performed on the bandstand set within the heart of the rural life area and allows visitors to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show to relax on the grassy banks overlooking the bandstand.

Whilst the Vintage Machinery section re-counts a bygone era with an extensive display of tractors, agricultural machinery, stationary engines, cars and commercial vehicles of yesteryear.

Advanced tickets, available from the Cheshire County Show website, are priced at £14 for adults, senior citizens £11, children £6 and for a family of two adults and two children £30. Children aged under five are free.
