Key Stage 2 pupils at Lindow Primary School spent a day with local willow artist Caroline Gregson to create a sculpture of a squirrel.
Work started early in the morning and around 70 children worked in teams on the sculpture throughout the day.
Art teacher Rachel Pengelly said “It was amazing to see the team work of the children and their wonder as apparently meaningless shapes transformed into a recognisable squirrel. The next step is to run a competition for the children to name our new ‘pet’!”
