Wilmslow High trampolinists triumph in national final

The Wilmslow High School trampoline squad triumphed at the national final on Sunday, 13th March.

The squad, consisting of five teams and two individuals, travelled to the Stourbridge Crystal Leisure Centre for the national final of the British Schools Trampoline Competition.

The under 13, 15 and 19 boys novice teams all achieved first place to be crowned national champions, as did the under 15 boys elite team. Whilst the under 19 boys elite team took 3rd place.

Will Powell, in the under 15 boys elite individual competition, and Ben Roberts, in the under 15 boys novice individual competition, were both runners up, achieving second place in their competitions.

Richard Price, team coach, said "We're really proud of every team and their commitment to a pretty rigorous training schedule. It was also pleasing to see some individuals overcome strong anxiety to compete at national level so successfully."
