As tenant demand reaches record levels, growing confidence in the rental market in Wilmslow has enabled local agent Bridgfords to expand its letting department, which covers Wilmslow and surrounding regions.

A recent report by Countrywide, the UK's largest letting agent and property services Group, of which Bridgfords is part of, revealed a record 200,000 new tenants registered for rental accommodation across the UK in 2010 – representing a 37% increase compared to 2009.

Situated in the Bridgfords offices on Alderley Road, the lettings agents in the branch will provide landlords and tenants specialist advice, guidance and access to rental properties.

To support the expansion, Bridgfords has employed new staff who will be overseen by Nicola Lloyd, the new lettings branch manager.

Nicola Lloyd, lettings branch manager said; "The rental market in Wilmslow has been booming since the start of the year, proving it the perfect time to expand our award winning lettings service. There is particularly high demand for rental properties in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Handforth and Knutsford."

"The expansion of lettings will enable us to assist tenants and landlords with the rental process."

With the BBC moving about 2,500 employees from London to its new northern base in Salford Quays this year, demand is particularly high from families wishing to move to the area and looking for three and four bedrooms houses.

This growing demand for rental properties has also led to the opening of a new Jordan's letting office in Wilmslow. Mark Payne, who has worked at Jordan's Manchester and Altrincham offices, will be managing the new office located in Summerfields Village Centre.
