Singer will be swishing for charity

Cheshire A Cappella's Kate Lee sings bass with the chorus

A local singer is holding a 'Swishing' party to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

Kate Lee, a bass singer with Cheshire A Cappella, is inviting people to swap their good quality clothing and fashion accessories in order to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society. She is supported in this great cause by her singing group so she is hoping to make a small donation to them as well.

Kate said "It's fair to say we probably all know someone who is directly or indirectly touched by Alzheimer's. It is a cruel illness. I know as it has affected my family too. I came up with the idea of 'Swishing' to raise much needed funding for the continued research into Alzheimer's."

If you'd like to donate an item or two, or go along to the event itself and make a purchase, call Kate for further information on 01625 537747. There is a charge for entry which includes a cuppa and cake for guests whilst they browse the selection on offer.

Kate added "Look at it as retail therapy but without the carbon footprint."

Kate's Swishing Party is at St Anne's Church Hall on Nursery Lane in Wilmslow on Saturday February 12th from 2pm to 4pm.
