Local designer Victoria Rangayah is embarking on an exciting fashion project.

The Wilmslow mother of two is collaborating with Tabio stockings and will be using re-cycled stockings and tights as the main material for her next collection.

Lithuanian born Victoria Rangayah runs her own label z-mode, which is a ladies fashion brand with a focus on evening wear and contemporary tailoring.

Victoria showcased her collection at London Fashion Week last year and her re-cycled shoelace dress was selected in last years Clothes Show Live fashion theatre. Attire Bridal magazine will also feature it in their next issue and her garments have previously featured in Elle in South Africa, Collezioni in Italy, LABB fashion and Cheshire Life.

Victoria explained "Stockings are an essential item in every woman's wardrobe, however they have a very short life span, which encouraged me to re-cycle and put another creative stamp on fashion re-cycling. One of my designs from this exciting collection will be a wedding gown made out of stockings which Attire bridal magazine will feature it in their up coming issue.

She added "In conjunction with Tabio sponsorship, I have also decided that it would be a good idea to involve a local Wilmslow community and call on local ladies to join the green cause and recycle their stockings.

"Therefore I will be holding a Stocking Appeal in Wilmslow, encouraging ladies to recycle their stockings for fashion. I would love local ladies to get involved in this fabulous project and donate their unwanted stockings and tights, preferably black, white, nude, pink, green or blue. They can be ripped or damaged as long as they are clean clean."

The Stocking Appeal For Fashion will be held on Saturday 12th February at Wilmslow Library from 10am until 12 noon.
