A Wilmslow couple have spent the past month giving their Handforth tile store a complete make over.

Alberti Tiles, on Wilmslow Road store will be re-launched on Thursday 3rd February after undergoing a complete rebrand and major refurbishment by Exesios, an internationally renowned design agency.

Judi Thornett and Vel Daley are celebrating by inviting interior designers to the store to meet representatives from Europe's leading tile suppliers. Nicola Hulme from Opus Tessallatum will be taking centre stage at the opening event - her individually designed tiles are works of art with some featuring artwork by Lyn Sumner who has painted the royal corgis for Her Majesty the Queen.

Judi said "We took over the shop at the height of the recession and have been building towards the relaunch ever since. We have exclusive access to the Opus Tessallatum range which is very exciting and unique. Nicola's pieces really are works of art and can be individually designed for client's exact needs."

Alberti Tiles sells a huge range of porcelain, stone, marble and slate tiles from companies including Marlborough, Villeroy and Boch and Jaafar Designs.

Visitors to the revamped store will be encouraged to relax and discuss their requirements over coffee or tea and Vel, an experienced tile fitter, will undertake home visits to ensure customers get the ideal tiles for their needs.
