Incredible Edible launches in Wilmslow

As we enter the New Year, a new wave of thinking is starting to grow.

Vegetable plots are being planned in our minds with the promise of Spring on its way. Growing your own is a great way to save money, have a constant supply of fresh produce ready to pluck straight from the plot to the plate and in doing so, you reduce your carbon footprint.

Incredible Edible Wilmslow will be bringing likeminded people together, who already grow or intend to start growing their own, to share knowledge, swap seeds, and to enhance our community spirit for people who live local; to grow local and shop local.

Incredible Edible started in Todmorden in 2004 to encourage the town to grow their own fruit and veg and in doing so, reduce their carbon footprint. Prince Charles visited IET, as part of his 2010 sustainability tour and Hugh Fernley Whittingstall has been involved in their work. It has been spreading at high speed across Yorkshire, the UK, and overseas and it has just arrived in Wilmslow.
