Over 350 trampolinists from Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester competed in this year's Northwest Schools Trampoline Competition which was held at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Hilary Pemberton, Wilmslow Trampoline Coach, said "I am proud to announce all nine of our teams who entered from Wilmslow High finish 1st , 2nd or 3rd and seven teams qualified for the next round in Northern Ireland.

"For the first time two girls novice teams, under 15's and under 19's, qualified but unfortunally the under 13 novice girls team missed out by 0.1 of a mark!

"All five of the boys teams finished 1st so they are the Northwest team Champions."

Seven individuals finished in the top 3 for their age group, which was a great achievement, particularly as some competitions had 55 competitors. Will Powell and Ben Roberts both came 1st so they are North West School Boy Champions. Tom Mellor and Alex Powell came 2nd and Harry Riches, Jack G Jackson and Chris Davies all came 3rd.

Other outstanding achievements came from Ava Johnson, Rachel Bond, Sara Howells, Ellie Riches and Vicki Cragg who all finished in the top 10 and Matt Crawford, Jack Perry and Ryan Wood who finished in 4th place.

Hilary added "The results speak for themselves, it was a great competition from all and the training paid off.

"A big thank you to our officials Rick Price, Anna Cragg, Rose Cragg, Ann Powell and all the parents who turned out to support all our Wilmslow teams. My Last thank you to Mrs Perry for being my P.A on the day!"
