Work has begun at Broad Walk this morning where the road is being resurfaced. This work is scheduled to take three days, and on the fourth day yellow lines will be painted and signs erected for the new parking restrictions.
Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, are being introduced at the junctions with Carr Wood and Broad Walk, and single yellow lines along the rest of the road - so there will be no waiting Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 10.30am and 2pm to 3pm.
A spokesperson from Cheshire East Council has confirmed that the road will be closed for the next four days while the work is completed and said "In addition to the closure of Broad Walk, Hawthorn Lane is closed from its junction with Kennerleys Lane as this is the last point before Broad Walk where traffic can be diverted."
The diversion takes traffic along the A538 Altrincham Road to Gorsey Road and then back down to Broad Walk.
