Amazingly there has been a secondary school on the Wilmslow High School site for 50 years now, some of you may remember the first school opening its doors to young people in September 1960!

On Saturday 11th December the High school is holding its Christmas Market and as part of that event the school would like to put up a display of memorabilia covering the last 50 years.

Mrs Bremner, the Head teacher said "Although we have a few items, photographs and programmes, a couple of girls' hats and newspaper articles, most of our display materials are from the last 10 years and we desperately need more items to make the display really engaging and interesting".

If you have any items at home that you would be prepared to lend to the school for the Christmas Market display, the school's Christmas production 'A Christmas Present (and Past)' on Tuesday 21st December and our 'Community Coffee and Carols' morning on Wednesday 22nd December, please contact Ms Chris Boden at the school or take your items into reception.

Mrs Bremner concluded "Everything you lend to the school will be very much appreciated, young people value a sense of history and as so many young people, their parents and their grandparents have had, or still have, links with the high school this seems a wonderful opportunity to celebrate education in Wilmslow".
