All change at Simon Dunn

The coffee shop upstairs at Simon Dunn Chocolatier has closed this week with preparations underway to turn the area in to their Franchisee Training Centre. The production of the chocolate will also be moving upstairs.

Oliver Dunn told me "Since opening our first franchise shop in Mahon, Menorca two weeks ago we have received lots of interest, from both the UK and overseas, so we are planning to market this properly in the new year.

"Wilmslow provides a perfect location for our franchisees because of the good transport links, local accommodation, restaurants and bars - all of which help to make training to produce their own Simon Dunn's handmade chocolates even more of an enjoyable and exciting adventure.

"The upstairs area will be extremely beneficial for us in the run up to Christmas as it will also act as a huge production room, giving us enough capacity to supply all our wholesale and corporate orders."

Simon Dunn's range of take away drinks and outside seating area are still available and they are currently refurbishing the downstairs room, where the production was previously done, to create a smaller coffee lounge which will be more convenient for customers with mobility problems and people with pushchairs.

Simon Dunn has built his business over 25 years. He opened his shop in Wilmslow 3 years ago and is helped in the family business by his wife Anne and daughter Camilla, as well as his son Oliver.
