In response to information received, police attended an address in Handforth on Monday afternoon where they discovered a cannabis factory.
Sergeant Simon Mills, from Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Unit, said "Cannabis could be smelt from outside so we gained entry to the property and upstairs we found a total of 156 cannabis plants growing.
"Everything from the property has been seized, including £47,000 worth of cannabis and a lot of the growing material, literally hundreds of pounds worth of equipment, has been donated to a local school."
Nobody has been arrested and the investigation is still ongoing.
