Station Road, Wilmslow will be restricted to one-way flow in the easterly direction, from the town centre, past the railway station to the bridge over the A34 Bypass for 7 weeks.

This is to enable Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions to carry out water mains renewal work on behalf of United Utilities.

Work will commence on Monday, October 11th and continue until Friday November 26th. During which time vehicles will only be able to enter the railway station from the town centre side and will have to follow the alternative route below when leaving the railway station.

The alternative route for traffic to reach the town centre is easterly on Macclesfield Road to Hough Lane, south to the A538 Prestbury Road, west to the A34 Bypass, north to A538 Mill Street (or Bollin Link) under the railway viaduct and south on A538 Manchester Road.
