New creche offers flexible childcare

Kiddycreche, a new concept in childcare, opened its doors this week in the heart of Wilmslow. Open 7 days a week from 7am until 7pm, Kiddycreche provides full day care as well as ad hoc creche arrangements.

The dream and vision of Director Kelly Miller has totally transformed the former Motorworld premises in Parsonage Green into a children’s wonderland. Upon entering the premises children will be greeted by the feature tree house, the glittering floor, the jungle themed wall, the cloud effect sky & the calming sensory room. In addition upstairs they have created a children’s dance studio equipped with the latest sports flooring, a wall of mirrors, unique lighting & a cinema room.

Having worked at football clubs and then as a Financial Advisor, mum of one Kelly Miller decided she wanted to do something completely different. Initially the unit was going to be a clothes shop but 32 year old Kelly from Alderley Edge changed her mind and came up with the idea whilst laying on a beach in Bali.

Kelly said "Nobody else is offering the flexibility of both a nursery and creche facility which is open 7 days a week. We can accommodate 38 babies and children aged up to 10, but I will only take up to 32 children on a full time basis so I always have 6 places available for drop-in."

At weekends the focus will be on arts, crafts and fun activities enabling parents to drop their children off for an hour or so whilst they go shopping, meet up with friends or have a meal in peace, safe in the knowledge their child is being taken good care of by the CRB checked staff.

The creche will cost £7.50 for the first hour and £6 per hour thereafter and children will always be sent home with something they've made. "We want them to have fun so they want to come back", explained Kelly.

As a 21st century extension of the 'open door policy' Kiddycreche have installed web cameras enabling parents to view live images of their children at play via the internet from wherever they are.

Kelly said "This gives parents peace of mind and allows them to be more involved in their children's daily activities. Parental Webcam is popular with parents and nursery staff as it provides an easy and effective way of offering reassurance and building trust. We are so proud of our services that we are happy to let parents 'drop in' and have a look whenever they like through the internet."

Kiddy Creche is Ofsted registered and provides the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, as well as offering themed birthday parties, after school activities, theme nights and dance, football and drama classes. In addition Kiddycreche 2 U provides a mobile creche service, so whatever the event parents can relax and enjoy themselves whilst the children are taken care of.

Kelly said "All you need to do is provide us with a suitable room at your venue, furnished with tables and chairs and leave the rest to us. We bring all the necessary equipment and toys geared to the ages of the children and work strictly to Ofsted guidelines, which include the ratio of staff to children and ensure we always have at least one member of staff that is qualified in paediatric first aid."
