Lithuanian born Victoria Rangayah's beautifully crafted collection from her label z-mode will be gracing the ‘A La Mode’ catwalk during London Fashion Week in September.

Victoria spent five years living in South Africa and studying fashion at LISOF Fashion School. She went on to establish z-mode, a contemporary ladies fashion brand with a focus on evening wear and contemporary tailoring, after working as a denim designer for a manufacturing company.

The mother of two from Orchard Close, who moved to Wilmslow two years ago because of her husband's work, has participated in several fashion design competitions including Bridex and Bridal Africa which served as the platform for her to publicise her skills and talent.

This led to her being nominated for the prestigious South African ‘Fashion Design Merchandise Award.’ Many of Victoria’s creations have received exposure in international magazines including Elle, Style Plus (Lithuania) and more recently LABB Fashion (UK).

Victoria explained "Having spent 5 years in Africa and having adopted that continent as my home, it is very hard for me not to relate my designs to this beautiful place. Therefore, the beautiful sunsets, mountains, rainbow cultures and vivid colours are still my first point of inspiration. I also take a keen interest in other foreign cultures, art and music and use it for my design inspiration."

Victoria added; "z-mode can be summarized by the words 'opposites attract each other'. Therefore, by living by this formula I find myself very often mixing different fabrics to create different textures that produce interest."

Now in its' fourth season, the 'A La Mode' show will feature collections from some of the most talented emerging and independent designers in the industry. This high profile international event attracts a range of press, celebrities and key industry people and Victoria will be presenting her highly anticipated designs on Friday 17th September.

The ‘A La Mode’ Catwalk will take place at the Charing Cross Hotel on the Strand. Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, can be purchased online

Once London Fashion Week is over Victoria is planning to have a small fashion show party in Wilmslow, so she can show her work to the local community and local boutiques. For more information and fashion show updates visit Victoria's monthly blog, or her website.
