In November, Wilmslow Town Council awarded TEMPO a Community Grant of £2,000 to help cover the rental costs at the Evans' Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre for their upcoming show.
TEMPO (The Edge Musical Production Organisation - formerly SCAMPS) is an award-winning youth theatre group and registered charity who give local youths the opportunity to put on a musical theatre show.
The production sponsored through the Wilmslow Town Council Community Grant will be Footloose, taking place from 21st to 25th March 2023.
Wilmslow Town Council Chairman, Frank McCarthy, said, "Following our recent sponsorship of A Christmas Carol by AWMTC and Beauty and the Beast by CHYPS Pantomime, we are pleased to be able to support another local production.
"These shows both enable local children taking part to acquire new skills and experience, in addition to allowing the community to experience high quality shows on their doorstep."
