Additionally, a new extension to house an escape stair will be built along with new roof mounted plant and photovoltaic solar panels and associated fall protection guard rails.

Amendments will also be made to the existing car park, including access control barriers and gates, new fencing, new sprinkler tank and associated pump housing, new external storage shed.

The Council's scheme will create a satellite school to expand Springfield School in Crewe from 170 pupil places to 250 places (80 places in Wilmslow) from September 2022 for pupils aged 4-19 with a range of needs of including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning difficulties (SLD) and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Wasn't this building the 1970s extension to Wilmslow Girls' Grammar, added when it changed to Dean Row High? If you look on the photo you can see the bricked up link corridor which linked the first floor to the science labs corridor in the old school. If the day centre is the school extension, in the late 70s downstairs was woodwork and metalwork (the girls never got chance to do those subjects), art and a few smaller classrooms I think. The Grammar school hall was roughly where the original Lidl store was. The new Lidl sits on the school playing field where we paddled up to our knees in mud playing hockey during the winter!
