Drugs and dangerous dogs seized in police raids

Police Officers raided four homes in the Colshaw area last Thursday, 18th March, in response to concerns expressed by people living on the estate. At one of the houses officers seized two pit-bull type dogs, whilst quantities of cannabis were removed from two other addresses.

Constable Phil Tuck, from the Wilmslow Neighbourhood Policing Unit said, “We have listened to the people on the Colshaw estate and are taking action to deal with the issues they have raised.”

The warrants were executed and the following day 26 year old Patrick Christopher Bruce, from Moorsbrook Close, Wilmslow, appeared at Macclesfield Magistrates Court charged with two offences of possessing fighting dogs, contrary to Section One of the Dangerous Dogs Act. He was remanded in custody.

A 22 year old man and a 25 year old woman were arrested at another house and charged with possessing cannabis. They have both been released on bail to appear at Macclesfield Magistrates Court early in April.

A woman at another of the addresses was given a street warning for a similar offence.
