Cyclist dies after collision in Handforth

A 43-year-old man has died following a collision in Handforth.

The incident occurred around 1am on Saturday 22nd August when the man was cycling on Dean Road and collided with a black Suzuki Grand Vitara car.

Police officers attended the scene and discovered that the cyclist had sustained serious injuries.

Sadly, the local man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the SUV car stopped at the scene following the collision.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or anything else that may help their investigation.

They also want to hear from any motorists who believe they may have captured relevant footage on their dashcams.
