Shortly before 10.30am today (Tuesday 23rd June) three police cars collided on the A555 Manchester Airport Relief Road at Handforth.
The cars from Greater Manchester Police were taking part in a training exercise where they were implementing a containment tactic.
There are no reported injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
There is one lane closed on the westbound carriageway, which is due to reopen shortly.
