Local architects adapt their working practices during lockdown

Kimble Roden Architects, based in Alderley Edge, specialise in residential developments - from new build homes to extensions and interior design fit outs.

Like many local businesses they have had to adapt their working practices to the constraints posed by the coronavirus lockdown.

Director Emma Roden said "Luckily our office was already set up for remote working, so working from home has not caused us any technical issues for the team.

"Many of our sites have had to close down due to the restrictions in place, so our focus has turned to progressing the design of new schemes and talking to new clients.

'It has obviously made things a bit tricky not being able to meet people face to face, but we have been using online meeting facilities to keep in touch with our current clients, and to have consultations with new clients too – it has proved successful so far, and in many ways a more efficient way of working."

"With so many of us spending much more time in our homes, now is the ideal time to think about that extension or renovation project, so when lockdown measures are relaxed, we can hit the ground running. We provide a comprehensive service from initial design, and planning applications through to full technical construction drawings and on site monitoring/ project management."

Kimble Roden Architects offer a free of charge, no obligation initial consultation to discuss the potential of your home – if you are interested in speaking to Emma or Edwina please email [email protected] or call on 01625 402442.
