New plans for residential development at Wilmslow Park

New plans to demolish a detached house and replace it with a residential development within the Wilmslow Park area have been submitted.

The new proposal for three houses follows the refusal of a planning application for four houses at the 0.462 ha site on Wilmslow Park North.

The Northern Planning Committee refused to grant permission in August 2019 for the demolition of Bryancliffe, a 1930s property, and erection of 4 two-storey detached dwellings with accommodation in the roof space. A subsequent appeal was dismissed by the Inspector on the basis of design.

The proposed development is for one detached house and a pair of semi-detached houses - two of which will be accessed from a widened Fulmards Close and one from Wilmslow Park South.

The detached property will have a lower ground level, making a fourth floor, whilst the semi-detached houses are two storey with a third in the roof space.

A previous application for a residential development of six dwellings at this site was not determined and an appeal dismissed in February 2018.

The new plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council planning portal by searching for planning reference 20/1555M.
