Fancy dress runner helping to spread cheer during lockdown

Like many people, Jack Tyler has taken up running during the lockdown as his daily form of exercise.

The Wilmslow resident started running around three weeks ago, because he couldn't go to the gym and to improve his cardio fitness, and he has been covering between 5 and 8km, 5 or 6 days a week

However, unlike most runners, the 29-year-old decided not to wear your typical athletic gear, instead he runs around Wilmslow in daft outfits - to add a bit of fun and cheer people during this challenging time.

Jack said "The response has been amazing! Cheering, clapping, taking videos and pictures, some people actually stopping in the road or pulling up to do so!

"A few people mentioned I should do a charity thing so as of Thursday, 9th April, I set one up on JustGiving. My goal was £200 which I reached by around midday the next day! I've increased that now to £500 and I'm at £290 right now."

The money Jack raises is going to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.
