Firefighters were called to a report of a fire involving a wheelie bin in a park in Tilston Walk, Wilmslow shortly after 10am on Wednesday, 8th April.
On arrival the crew found an industrial bin well alight in the children's play area.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for about 10 minutes.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire said "The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

On Monday, 6th April, firefighters were called to a small fire which was believed have been started deliberately in a field off Kiln Croft Lane in Handforth.
