The former site of Hulme Hall Grammar School in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire is finally set to be redeveloped, thanks to planning approval for 37 new luxury homes. Since the school moved to Davenport over two years ago, the buildings have been left derelict and subjected to vandalism.
The new scheme, put forward by renowned local developer PH Homes together with Seddon Developments, is for a total of 37 luxury homes consisting of 13 apartments and 24 houses, ranging from 2 bedroomed to spacious 5 and 6 bedroomed family homes. The designs are sympathetic to the local conservation area, with which PH is very familiar – having restored and converted historic Hulme Hall itself, which dates back to 1419, into an award-winning luxury development back in 2014.
"We know this area very well", said Philip Hughes, Managing Director of PH Homes. "Not only did we successfully return Hulme Hall to its former glory, but our Head Office is less than three miles away; so we're well aware that this is a super-prime location and one of the area's best addresses."
Residents can rest assured that the development will be created to the highest standards too, as PH Homes recently picked up a coveted 'What House' Award for its prestigious Cedar Square development at Alderley Park in Cheshire – just one of many awards they've won over recent years.
"We're delighted to have been given this opportunity to create a new residential development in the area", continued Philip Hughes. "The location really couldn't be better, especially for families with the fantastic choice of schools nearby and Cheadle Hulme centre with shops, restaurants and train station in easy walking distance, I know the local residents will welcome the redevelopment of the derelict site into a new residential neighbourhood, which will now start in the spring".
Work is scheduled to start on site Spring 2020.
