Victim left shaken following assault in Handforth

Police investigating a robbery in Handforth are appealing for information and footage from members of the public.

The incident occurred near the junction of Manchester Road and Dean Drive in Handforth at around 00:30am on Friday 28th December.

Three people were approached by a group of 5 to 7 males who were all dressed in dark clothing. The offenders asked the victims for money and then assaulted one of the victims.

They were last seen heading into the Handforth area.

Police Constable Andrew Walker, of Wilmslow Policing Unit, said:"This was an unsettling incident that has understandably left the victim shaken up.

"I would like to reassure the community that it is believed to be an isolated incident and we are determined to establish the identity of the offenders and bring them to justice.

"Enquiries are ongoing and I urge anyone who was in the area and believes they may have seen the offender to contact the police."
