Four Wilmslow boys who go to Gorsey Bank Primary School and also attend their local football club together are determined to use their love of football to help raise money for under-privileged children

Will Shuttleworth (9), Jake Shuttleworth (7), Harry Swindells (8) and Flynn Barnes (8) who call themselves The City Boys because of their shared passion for Manchester City, were chatting about what they wanted for Christmas and the conversation evolved into a discussion about giving something rather than just receiving.

They decided that a charity football marathon would be a good way to help raise money and have targeted themselves with raising £1000 which they will donate to UNICEF.

Will Shuttleworth said, "We love football and my dad said we could do a football marathon for charity as a way of giving something back at Christmas. We want to make as much money as possible to help other children."

Flynn Barnes said, "We agreed UNICEF because it helps other children who don't have as much as us."

Harry Swindells said, "We are excited to have fun whilst getting sponsorship for UNICEF"

Jake Shuttleworth said, "We did this because in a fun way we can help other children."

On Saturday, 28th December they will meet at 10am at Box Football for a sponsored football match. Playing with friends and family they will play non-stop for 3-4 hours.

To support The City Boys you can donate online via their JustGiving page.
