Two men stabbed during assault in Alderley Edge

Cheshire Police were called to the Bubble Room on London Road at approximately 12.20am on Sunday, 28th July, after a man came to their door for help reporting that he had stabbed further down the street near a betting shop.

Staff at the Bubble Room looked after the man while they waited for emergency services.

Officers attended the scene and found that a 28-year old man had been stabbed twice by two unknown offenders.

The man, who is from the Irlam area, was taken to hospital; his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A second man, a 28-year-old man from the Congleton area, was also found to have been stabbed during the incident.

He had left the scene and taken himself to hospital prior to the arrival of officers. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Two people from Derby were subsequently arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault in connection with the incident.

The 30-year-old man and 25-year-old woman have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
