Shortly after midnight Firefighters were dispatched to reports of a man trapped on a fence on Dean Road in Handforth.
Crews arrived just after midnight on Sunday, 16th June, to find a 20-year-old man whose leg was impaled on an iron fence railing.
Firefighters used electronic cutting equipment to remove the railing and free the casualty.
The man was then passed to the care of paramedics.
The crew were in attendance at the incident for approximately one hour.
