Popular dog show returns for 9th year

Friends of Carrs annual fun dog show, Canine Capers on the Carrs, is returning for the ninth year on Sunday 19th May.

Once again the event is expected to attract over 100 entries who will compete in the following nine categories: Waggiest tail; Most like its owner; Cutest Puppy; Golden Oldie; Best Rescue; Best Trick; Prettiest Bitch; Most Handsome Dog and Best in Show.

There will also be an agility course providing the opportunity for owners to put their dog through it's paces against the clock.

Home made cakes and refreshments will be available.

Ruth Lees, of Friends of Carrs said "We are really looking forward to it - it is always a great day and lots of fun for all involved . All proceeds will be used to make the Carrs even better.

Registration will take place on the Carrs at 12 noon with the show starting at 12.30. Entry costs £1 per dog for each category and £1 for an entry to the agility course.

The show will be located in the field off the main Hawthorn Lane footpath.
