"The money we raise will be split between the groups that help and also help pay towards our annual Senior Citizens evening, which will next be held on Saturday 30 March 2019."

For those in Pownall Park tonight (10th Dec): Santa is going to be trialling a live Santa-tracker so that you'll know when he's about to visit and so you'll know where to find him if we miss you. He's due to arrive in Wilmslow at about 7pm, assisted by 1st Wilmslow Scouts.

So, Grange Park Avenue does not count as part of Wilmslow?

@LaurieAtterbury: I'm going to prefix my comment by saying I'm not in the Round Table - they might want to respond "officially". However my scout group have taken the Round Table sleigh out one evening each year for many years - so I can speak from some experience.
I do know that it takes a fair amount of voluntary manpower and organisation to take the sleigh out for an evening, and it can take quite a long time to cover a relatively small number of streets. To cover all of Wilmslow requires a large number of people and a lot of nights. The Round Table did put a few messages out on Social Media asking for groups of volunteers to take the sleigh out - but obviously they must only have had a few responses - and not enough volunteers to cover everywhere in Wilmslow. They do go to Barclays with Santa so that people can come to them, rather than the other way round too.
I'm sure if you did get a group of, maybe, 8-12 volunteers together and got in touch with the Round Table - sounds like there are a few evenings free next week that you could ask if you could take their sleigh out round Grange Park Avenue and surrounding roads.

Richard Bullock, many thanks for your detailed response, points duly noted. A bit late for this year but I will give some thought to get a few volunteers together so that Santa can visit our part of Wilmslow next year.
