MP supports charity Christmas card shop

Tatton MP Esther McVey made her annual visit to the Combined Charities Christmas Card shop a Wilmslow Library recently where she took the opportunity to stock up on some Christmas essentials.

Ms McVey said, "You know it's the start of the Christmas season when the Wilmslow Christmas Card shop opens."

Esther started her Christmas shopping by buying party hats, napkins and some of the many packs of Christmas cards available from the range of over 300 different designs from 30 local and national charities.

Esther added. "I was delighted to be visiting the renowned Christmas shops again, where 100% of the card sales goes to the charities."

Jill Dodson from the Christmas card shops said, "Yet again we are thrilled that our MP could take time out of her busy schedule to support the shop and all the charities. Many people are involved in ensuring the shops are stocked and manned each year and support from Esther gives our volunteers a great boost."

The shop in Wilmslow Library is open every day during library hours until 8th December.

The Card Shop Volunteers perform a great service for us Charities and us Residents. We know that the payments go directly to each charity and what a fine selection there are each year.
