Church to host festival of nativity sets

AC942-CTIW-CribFestival

Churches Together in Wilmslow will be hosting a Crib Festival at Wilmslow Methodist Church during the first week of December.

Emma Coe, Family and Outreach Worker at Wilmslow Methodist Church, said "A Crib Festival is like a Tree Festival but with nativity sets instead of trees!

"The nativity sets are being provided by the local churches, local schools, children's uniformed organisations, the church pre-school and some local community groups e.g. Wilmslow Wells for Africa. Some will be traditional, some from around the world and some will be a modern take e.g. Star Wars, Gingerbread, rubber ducks, erasers, stones, pegs etc."

During the week local schools and community groups will be visiting the church to see the nativity sets and hear the Christmas story.

The Festival will be open to the public on Wednesday December 6th from 6pm to 8 pm and Saturday December 8th from 10 am to 3.30 pm when there will be children's crafts and refreshments available.

Entrance to the festival is free but donations for Action for Children will be gratefully received.
